Gosh, how his mouse wheel irritates my ears... I just can't stand it any longer. What an unprofessional course.... He's so unconfident.... always changes his mind and constantly scrolls code, damn it!

Lesson 130 14.16 - Gallery index action - 6:40 is the most positive moment in the whole course! The rest - is just rubbish!
p.s. Ah, no! In the same lesson is just a bit further at 7:30, there is also an adorable moment.

14.8 - Gallery validators and normalizers, timeline 10:30 - gosh, I hate his stupidity....
We call Public() function on an object of modelError type. How the hell does he get a message with a privateError type in a dismissive component of Alert if func (d *Data) SetAlert(err error) in data.go - must return A GENERIC MESSAGE of AlertMsgGeneric = "Something went wrong, please try again or contact us if the problem persists"
Bloody idiot...

Okay, he has changed the type in ErrTitleRequired to modelError

Lesson 106. 13.1 - Bootstrap alerts -> Well, I might have missed something, but it seems he hasn't shown the actual run of New function. The thing is.... when he's showing git diff -p -1 you don't see the change in main.go in which you need to insert the line of code: r.HandleFunc("/signup", usersC.New).Methods("GET") Put it before r.Handle("/signup", usersC.NewView).Methods("GET") If you don't stick to the order it'll still be invisible.

Apologies, it's going to be the next lesson which is 107. 13.2 - Dynamic alerts

The course being sold on Joh Calhoun web site is absolutely catastrophe! I wouldn't say I'm a newcomer to programming having spent a year on learning Javascript + frameworks, but then I decided to broad horizons with GoLang. I've found the course, started watching it... Well, the beginning was quite easy. Apparently the author focused every effort on the course, then... - it turned out to be a complete waste of time. I remember how enthusiastic I was when I began watching the course. Overall I watched more than 15 courses of various tutors. It's the worst. What I didn't like the most: 1) It was a mistake to hang a microphone 2 meters away. It shows how author is concerned about his comfort. As a result, he needed to increase mic's sensitivity. The outcome is you hear his mouse wheel even better than he pronounces words. For non native speakers - it's quite challenging to make up what he's mumbling. 2) If you charge money for your course, don't drink beer. 3) I agree refactoring of code is vital though speaking of a lesson like Remember token normalizer - I'm not quite sure what it means. We've been refactoring code for the purpose to refactor it again? Jesus.... just stop yourself. Show UML diagrams what we have, what's the issue with code, how it works, why we need to refactor it, TEST CODE before commiting it.... He uses some abstractions - I CANNOT READ WHAT HE'S GOT ON HIS MIND! Mostly the explanations are as following: I like doing this way. What? You may write the same code in a different way in any language, explain WHY WE NEED TO REFACTOR? Don't think! Just bluntly copy/paste code. Dunno, the worst course I ever watched.... With Jon Calhoun is quite easy to start suffering from burnout. He kills your any wish learning the language. It's the fourth time I'm writing my comment to say how irritated I'm with the course! This one I'm not going to delete. The course is rubbish! Each day I just force myself to the limits to finish the course, each lesson is a pain!
